In the past few weeks, I've gotten addicted to Final Fantasy XIII. I've got about 20 hours in it, but I doubt that I'm even close to finishing it.

A couple of months ago I started playing FFVII again, I stopped playing it... but I have every intention of carrying on with it!

I've started playing several Final Fantasy games, but I usually don't end up playing through the whole game. I had a lot of reservations about spending money on XIII for that reason, but it sucked me in pretty much immediately. I'm enjoying the fighting a lot more than I have in other FF games.

I enjoyed playing VIII. I think this is my second time playing VII. Have you heard of Grandia II? I've played through that about 8 times, and just picked it up a LOT more than that haha. Epic game; great engine, great characters, great storyline! Better on dreamcast than on PS2/PC, but worth playing if you ever get the chance.

I remember enjoying VIII as well. Still never played VII despite it being one of the most loved ones in the franchise. Never played Grandia either. I'll have to be on the lookout for it.

I hated 8. I just wanted to kill the main character. I only put about 10 hours in before I said fuck it.

Loved VII and I need to find my discs and play it again after I'm done with VI.

I've heard of Grandia II, but I never did play it. I missed out on all the PS2 RPGs.

Ahh man! Grandia II is worth picking up, and you'll find it on the cheap as well. Probably my favourite game ever. The music on that game is great as well! The voice acting is decent as well (although there could be a bit more of it). I think I picked this up for £5 on PS2.... I was playing the US version on the dreamcast for years - best version comes with the music disc. But defo playing it if you get the chance.

I've only played the first one. Good game. Voice acting is laughably bad though.

I'll have to give it a try sometime. Got a huge list of games I want to play/replay. Ni no Kuni, Chrono Trigger, and Terranigma come first.

I don't think I have a 'games to play list'. Just gear. I used to but I've lost a lot of interest in gaming. I just play a bit of fifa, borderlands 2, and battle for middle earth now and again...

I am sure I do have that kind of list for games, but I can't recall since I am half asleep lol.

i'm looking at getting a PS3 when the price drops for the PS4 gearing up to release and i'm wanting gods of war but i've heard that the first game is not what it's hyped up to be... It looks really fun IMO :idk: I've heard it has a similar feel to Metal Gear Revengeance which is hard for me but very fun

Just saw that they've finally announced Earthbound for Wii U Virtual Console in all regions. Took them long enough.

What is the deal with that game? I see it gets almost universal love so I tried it out and....ummm. I don't know what I was expecting, but not that. I only played for maybe 45 minutes, but is it worth a complete newcomer trying out?

Usually just Trials Evolution these days. Simple controls, exponential difficulty curve.

Went back and installed Civ 2. What an awesome game. One of the best.

Also trying out Alpha Centari which was the sequel to Civ 2. FUN!

Trying to get good ol' Pirates! Gold to play on my PC... currently ship battles are super sped up as to be impossible.

Two of my all time favorite games. I play FreeCiv a lot and also am trying to get Pirates to work properly on my computer. I can get the original version working in DosBox, but the Gold is giving me fits. I don't know if the copy have is no good or what. Such a fun game though.

How are you trying to run it? In DosBox you can slow down the cycles and it should make it easy to find the right spot.

On my second run through of The Witcher 2. Just finished Crysis and was disappointed with how short it was and with the many bugs there were too.

Been looking around for a cheap copy of borderlands game of the year up here in Lancashire and Yorkshire, but can't seem to find one. I'll wait until I'm back in London town.
