Standby switch mod for amp

Post by trolison »

Hi guys,

I recently bought a 5 watt Kustom The Defender 5H and did a few simply mods to it (tone and master pots etc.). The last thing I want to do is add a standby switch. I know where it needs to go, but I'm a little unclear what rating the switch needs to be in order to be safe. I happen to have an old PC power supply switch laying around and that is rated for 6 amp 250V. Would that be okay?

Thanks,
-Taylor

Hey GuitarBilly thanks a bunch for putting my mind at ease. I wired up the switch and everything works great.
