Sensory Overload - Arrival (Alternative Rock, Classic Rock)

Post by SensoryOverload »

Hey folks,

New instrumental track "Arrival" heavily inspired by Radiohead, The Rolling Stones & Led Zeppelin. We are still in the process of looking for a vocalist.
This entire song was recorded with 1 SM57 microphone, 1 instrument at a time.

I also played drums on this track (I usually dont because I am a novice) so I'd love some constructive criticism on the percussion especially.

GENRES: Alternative Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Modern Rock, Experimental Rock, Classic Rock revival

Any feedback, criticism .etc is welcome!

I really like the way you recorded this... It sounds garage-y/raw but it's also very clear... kind of in between a live recording and a studio production. It's cool, unique and have a DIY vibe to it, which is very refreshing these days... You might be onto something there.

The song sounded good to me, but it's really not my style so I can't really say much about it... but it's a cool song for sure.

Hey brotha thanks for that, means alot. It was very ghetto, I used a $100 interface, $99 Shure Sm57 mic (which was wild, recording a drumkit on 1 mic). Only real effects I used were cranking the reverb on the lead guitar for the solo since my fender strat doesnt much sustain and I dont have a reverb pedal.

Glad you heard the style I'm going for. It's a simple 2-3 chord song but I tried to really put a spin on it
