Bummer, man.
Stick with warmoth if you're doing a fender shape.

I'd also recommend jumping into some Reverb or ebay auctions where the actual pics of the body (NO STOCK PHOTOS!) are in the listing. If you are patient, you'll definitely score at the price you wanted or even less. I snagged this on ebay for about $150...
Dude, that is awesome!!

They received the body on July 2 and still haven't refunded my money.
I know we had a holiday weekend so I factored that in but how hard is it to log into PayPal and hit "refund"? I e-mailed them today asking about it. The reasons not to deal them keep piling up.

Re: Surf Green Strat Project. unhappy update
The customer service and communication, or lack thereof, from this company is apalling. I'm worried Rockaudio is going to hold my money and the body until PayPal protection time runs out, then I'm really screwed. I called PayPal this morning and told them what was going on. They filed a dispute and said not to worry, they'll get my money back. I've never had to deal with this before but everybody says PayPal is set up to protect the buyer so I hope this works out for me. All I want is what's mine. It'd be righteous of Rockaudio to refund my shipping cost as well since none of this is my fault (oh wait, it is according to Bobby at Rockaudio).

update edit: this could be interesting. I already have an e-mail from Paypal showing a claim/dispute has been filed yet I still have no response from Rockaudio. Paypal told me they have to contact the seller and I said good luck getting a reply via e-mail or having them answer a phone. Then the Paypal rep said I'll automatically get my refund if they don't hear from Rockaudio within 10 days. This situation may take care of itself by default!

I'm sure you will end up ok - but it already sucks that you are left waiting, not knowing.
RockAudio hasn't come out of this looking good - not on this forum at least.

Re: Surf Green Strat Project. unhappy update
I e-mailed them five days ago and still haven't gotten a reply. Unreal.
I posted links to this thread on TGP and Strat-Talk. The TGP post died a quick death which I figured would happen but the Strat-Talk post got a reply from someone who is now having second thoughts about buying from them so maybe I saved one person from unneeded trauma.

Wow - that company is definitely way off my radar now. Sorry to hear it's going rough for you to return, but good your letting us know about your experience with them.

Re: Surf Green Strat Project. Happy ending!
Today made 11 days since my PayPal claim was filed. Rockaudio never replied to e-mails from Paypal, stopped all communication with me on June 29 and never issued a refund. PayPal ruled in my favor today, gave me a full refund and closed the case.

Last e-mail communication from rockaudio. Full refund asap my ass.

PayPal case history. Notice PayPal e-mailed Rockaudio three times and never got a reply. Way to run a business, Rockaudio!

Now I'm a hundredaire and you know what that means...Party time!

Re: Surf Green Strat Project. Happy ending!
Andrew from Rockaudio saw some of my posts throughout internetland and refunded my shipping charges as well as apologizing for this whole situation so I'll give them props for making things as right as can be after the fact but I don't think that body should've shipped to me in the first place.
