Thanks - I appreciate the welcome.

That's my "live" rig. I sometimes use a Mesa Dual-Rectifier Roadster or a Hughes & Kettner Switchblade into a 4x12 (easier to haul), but I like the flexibility of the rack rig. It's changed slightly since that picture and currently has:

Filtered Power Supply
Korg DTR-1 Tuner
GCX Switcher
Eleven Rack
Midiverb III (old school, but I like the Chorus patches)
Stereo EQ
Slide-Out Pedal Tray
Pedal Power 2
DOD FX80B Compressor
Digitech Bad Monkey
MXR EVH Flanger
Mesa Simul 2:90 Power Amp

I have a Ground Control Pro on the floor for switching and run everything in stereo with the outputs going to an old (1978ish) Carvin 4x12 with v30's in stereo. Kind of pointless on the small bar stages I play, but what the hell  .

For the record, all of this is geared toward my efforts as a half-assed, weekend-warrior, rhythm guitarist in a generic cover band.

I don't see a problem with having a monster rig to play at bars or even at home. If you can afford it and want it, that's good enough reason man, no further justification required. :)

On a different subject, how do you like the Ground Control Pro? Reliable? Easy to use?

I am currently using a G-Major 2 and I am thinking of getting one so I can have on/off switches for each effects as well as preset changes.

Drew -

I like the GCP. I know there are better options, but for the price point, it controls everything in my rack reliably. I got it at Sweetwater for $200 new at Gear Fest a couple of years ago.
