Simple Signal Splitter

I know this is primitive, and not a favourable solution, but I am no good at wiring stuff up, and usually, with a soldering iron, end up doing more damage to myself, than soldering connections, but hey, we gotta all start somewhere

Is this correct for a simple mono signal splitter?
