Darksiders II
Just finished playing Darksiders and really got into it. I enjoy the puzzles that go along with the awesome hack/slash thing.
How is Darksiders II on PC by comparison? Is it worth the $50 bucks?

Re: Darksiders II
My roommate has both games and was fairly disappointed in the second one, The maps and everything were nice looking but they didn't really offer anything new or exciting in terms of gear or puzzle idea's. I was still a fun game and offered about 35-40 hours of game play but it feels like it should have been the first game, not the sequel to me.

Re: Darksiders II
I picked up the original Darksiders for $10 at wallyland and really enjoyed it. Probably the cost to fun ratio.
Sounds like I should wait for the prices to come down a bit...boo.
Thanks for the heads up fellas!

That's what i'd do, i mean it's still a fun game and worth it if you get it on sale or used but i wouldn't pay full price. It just didn't seem to live up to the first one IMO

I picked up Fallout 3 and Oblivion for $20 for the pair. I should be entertained a while now. :-)

Re: Darksiders II
Yeah, I gave up on Fallout too. I am lame. Oblivion is just too RPG for me.
So I got Darksiders II. Paid only $33 bucks for it thankfully. I guess I just like hack and slash more than RPG.
And yeah, Fallout3 was super open and gave up too. Plus, it shouldn't take 15 rounds to take down a guy. Lame.

Murdoch wrote:I enjoyed it, though the puzzle aspect gets kind of same-y after a while. The combat is modelled after God of War (new GoW 3/12, WOOT), but isn't as fluid or fun. BUT, GoW combat is the gold standard, so that's not the blast that it sounds like, it's still fun.
The puzzles towards the end of the game are VERY hard, IMO. But as far as bang for the buck, it took me about 34-35 hours to finish it. Epic long. I'd give it probably a 7/10.
Awesome. That is about what I am expecting. I actually really liked the puzzle part of Darksiders. Thought it was very cool to have to think and hack/slash.
Looks like I need to check out God of War then...Thanks for the heads up!
