I still regret selling some gear, until I have came to the conclusion that I should just never be attached to them.

The only gear I'm not selling is my Washburn N1 for sentimental reasons. Everything else can be sold if I had to.

I sometimes wish I could start over completely, but I'm pretty happy with what I have. :)

This thread is referring to a bass. :o

This....sold a mint 6505+ on CL several weeks ago and I struggled getting $600 for it. A brand new one in GC didn't look any cleaner than this one. I wouldn't have let it go for that normally but I needed the cash at that moment. Saw a mint dual rec on the Dallas CL yesterday and it looks brand new....priced at $900 and it's just sitting there. I remember when you would struggle finding one for $1,100. Great time to buy but def not sell.

This and this. Trading seems to be popular now, but if you are like me (and most other gearwh*res); you are so specific in what you have versus what you want it becomes really tough to define that in an easy to explain sort of way...

Before HC went down, I wasn't having much trouble selling anything? :idk:

Although, I wasn't trying to sell amps that already saturate the market.

I personally try to avoid selling in the current climate if at all possible...not the best time to "buy to try" with the intention of not keeping it.

:hmm: I don't know.... About a month ago, I put three of my amps on ebay, and they all sold for quite reasonable prices within the first 10 days. Hard to complain about that.....

yeah but there was a time when you could have sold them just as fast for the same price or higher on the forums and not have paid all those ebay and paypal fees.

Plus, other than TGP....what other non-eBay/non-CL for sale sites are there?

I'm assuming a 6505 wouldn't sell on TGP.
HC was shitty too. Used to be a great place to snag cheap gear, and sell stuff quickly.

Ya I may have had better luck moving it on one of the forums or ebay but I hate shipping heads any more. I was lucky getting the heads I sold to their perspective buyers in one peice without any shipping issues.

That's the biggest reason why I don't GAS for those sorts of things.....I just don't want to deal with shipping anymore.

This. I have some stuff I want to sell but its all going to be pretty cheap and I just can't be bothered dicking with CL tire-kickers are already cheaply priced gear. So, obviously it continuing to sit in the basement is a much better move....
