I had a Viper for a while. It was pretty nice actually. Like a Tele almost. bright as fuck.

Anyway, I can't believe how much these have gone up in price!!!!!!!!

I always wanted one of the UKII's, I think it was called.

I know a lot of people rag on Ovation acoustics but I have an odd one that I love; it's the guitar that's been in my stable the longest.

Yeah, I've always wanted the UKII as well....with inlays.

The necks aren't very wide and my hands are huge............that's why I didn't keep the viper.

I have an acoustic-electric Ovation that I will never sell, but that's because I'd feel bad for the buyer. It's terrible and I want to smash it.

I don't know about their electrics though, but they would have to be REALLY AWESOME to convince me to ever buy another Ovation product.

The Is and IIs have steadily sold for about $7-850 over the years, but the IIIs and IVs have really gone up. I think if I wanted back the IV I sold to this cat, I'd pay maybe three times what I sold it to him for?

Got the damn thing for $50 with OHSC, no less. Shoulda kept that one.

The other guitarist in my college band played an Ovation electric, but I have no idea what model. He was a complete metal head and shredded like crazy on that thing, with .11 or .12 gauge strings in standard, to boot. I dunno what that says about the guitar, if anything, but I'm lonely and wanted to contribute to the thread... Er.

I had a Breadwinner once. Piece of crap. It had these weird active pickups that you couldn't swap out for anything else. The bridge was build like a shock absorber. Worst design ever. Impossible to mod. I believe the only celebrity endorsement was the Partridge Family.

I have that Eastwood and saying that it's light means that there's variance with them. Mine is ~12lbs.

Oh yeah. It's the guitar that is last on the list to sell. I prefer hardtail bridges and it is the exception. It resonates well. The pickups have the same spacing and sound like a 59 set.

With the weight mentioned earlier it may suffer from the LP syndrome of having to find the right one. With a guitar that isn't common it probably isn't worth the effort of hunting one down. Either that or he only plays Heritages and old Gibsons.
