Frakkin' Uriah Heep!!! How'd I miss these guys...
Well, outside of "Easy Living" anyway.
Went to see King Diamond on Saturday and after Jess and the Ancient Ones played, they were playing some cool stoney type jams and I notched these 2 tracks in particular which I was able to look up by referencing the lyrics I picked up on.
Rainbow Demon:

Gypsy:

Will definitely have to check out more from these guys. Some killer jams for sure.

This might be the first time in recent history that I heard the name "Uriah Heep" not being used as a punchline to a joke.

No shit? Don't know anything about them to be honest. Always liked "Easy Living". Great guitars/keys. After going through a few tracks, I don't see a lot of opportunity for them to be joke worthy.
Seems like the Rainbow/Deep Purple crowd should dig them?

I don't know anything about them either, but for some reason they have been the butt of jokes on some comedy podcasts that I listen to.
I literally just googled them to see who they are/were.

I always liked this track, from the 80's I think. I saw Bryan Adams in the 90's and was really surprised when he played it, didn't realise he wrote it. Bizarrely, having never ever heard them on the radio, I heard a new track from UH on a classic rock station today. The GAB effect?

Luv their early stuff-its somewhere between Sabbath and Purple. They had a big influence on Queen and Styx.

This came into our set list by accident one night. Been playing it live ever since. That was approx 12 years ago. People still request it.

Speaking of recently discovered bands, this song popped up on my Spotify yesterday and it's pretty jammin'. Had never even heard of this band before. The singer sounds like that Myles Kennedy dude big time

Are you sure you aren't thinking of Jethro Tull? I always confuse these two bands (no idea why). Tull was the butt of many jokes as they beat out Metallica back in the day for best Metal Grammy.

I remember running across this and Black Sabbath's Born Again in a record store when I was about 13. I grabbed the albums and took a quick glance at the back cover, then back in the rack they went. I was afraid someone would see me looking at them.
