Learning About Building

Post by rocknrollerman »

Hey guys I'm new to the forum (I only have one other topic before this) and I was wondering where I could go to get some information on Marshall plexi 1987/jmp 2204/jcm800 2204 circuits and circuit breakdowns to start modding my own amp. So far I've just been using Google, but I was wondering if there were some books or something that I could buy to get some more information.

http://valvewizard.co.uk - Buy his preamp book. It is a great resource if you want to learn about how amps work.
For Marshall specific stuff http://www.marshallforum.com has lots of stuff on modding.

What are you trying to achieve tonally?

Warm, sustainy, Marshall tone lol. I would really like to be in between warren dimartini, and van Halen.
Sorry for the slow reply.
