Weird CL Offer What Happened To This Gibson SG?

Seeing as you can buy one new for $550, it doesn't seem like a great deal with the bent tuners. But not necessarily a terrible deal either.

Good question ovid9, The tuners bent like that seem more like a repair gone awry. Doesn't look to be a big dent to explain the bent tuners.

Yeah, not sure how you'd bend the tuners like that, unless you got it stuck in something. Its weird.

Trading something worth about $400-450 would seem like a better deal to me if everything else was a-ok. Then fix the bent tuners and have a sweet low end Gibson.

Yeah, but not looking to buy it. Just looked as though something was not quite right. Part of the problem is that all the smoke and mirrors...ie. the talk about the case and the strap locks. I like to keep my eyes wide open as to what someone is trying to lay down and makes me wonder if this is even really a Gibson guitar is why I asked to begin with. Thanks.

Looks real to me. Price is decent if it wasn't damaged. If it were mine, I'd spend the $10 and replace the tuners before trying to sell it.

I would give the dude a call. Since he's open to trading (which tells me he probably has no particular attachment to the guitar), offer something as partial trade. You could negotiate yourself a smokin deal
