I was checking out the
2013 Fender Select Stratocaster online and am finding myself intrigued by the "channel bound" fingerboard. I guess the idea is to leave more neck wood along the edges so the fingerboard can be sunk into it, and the whole thing feels rounder and smoother. I guess I need to check it out in person.
Has anyone seen this before?

It's o.k. I guess, but I'd rather see ebony inlaid instead. Also, I don't care for the bigger 70's head stocks on these models either. I much prefer the '12 Selects over these.
