Nah. I personally think that several Pantera riffs are groovier.

I dunno if I'd say they are the grooviest, but goddamn are they ever fucking amazing as fucking fuck live.

"The Heaviest Matter of the Universe" is a groovier song, I think, but shit I love it all


I saw them once years ago with Trivium, Machine Head and Lamb of God and Gojira made the other bands sound fucking weak

LOL I totally forgot about this thread. I agree that Sabbath and Pantera have some groovy ass riffs, and I can understand why some people might prefer them (I mean Sabbath basically invented the groovy metal riff). But something about that Gojira riff just does it for me. I can't listen to it without violent head bobbing lol.
