I installed windows 8 this morning.
So far its not bad. I was expecting vista meets iphone , but other than the apps its really not similar.

it's not too bad. I never got all the hate for vista, I used it for years with no problems

I've been using it with a Logitech Touchpad for a while and it seems to work pretty good. Dramatically better than the 9 year old Dell it replaced anyway.

Just tried pokki. It's pretty good, but you can't change the start button. startisback isn't in the store. You'll have to google it

Re: Windows 8
I bought a new laptop about 2 weeks ago. I fought buying one with win8 and finally caved. I spent the first day freaking out and feeling lost. After I finally adjusted and learned the admittedly minor changes, all is well and I am LOVING the ridiculously short boot time. It seriously is ready to go quicker than my win7 PC at home, and that one has a SSD.
