I love my JCM. I've never played a SuperSonic. But I love Fender cleans. That's a tough choice.

I say, F50

So the new DSLs are. :-B that good, y'all? Hmmmm...

Speaker aside, yes.

I can only say that because I have well worn 1965A 4/10 cabinet. The amp sounds fantastic.

Like Dave said, it's worth a trip to GC to find out.

Hmmm, I didn't know they made a combo version of those channel-switching 800's.
I would hit that ALL DAY LONG. Screw the diodes, who cares?

Drae buy a 2554 and win life.

I won't lie. It's one of the best amps I've ever owned.

Yeah, we're also missing Norton's and somebody else's posts praising the Fender Super Sonic combos. I just found Billy's announcement about moving to the new servers and it said some posts were in fact lost ~ the last "save" of the forums on the old servers was last night @ 8:45, I think.

But we remember, dammit ... we will always remember!

To be fair I learned my Marshall love from Telephant so you can rest your mind :D :cop:

But seriously, it's a Jubilee in a 1x12 combo with an fx loop, ckean channel and a 50 watt power section. Takes pedals well, does leads well, has the Marshall crunch and a 1/2 power switch. All from the factory.

I like the Supersonic 22, seems like it would be a gig friendly piece of gear to me. It has everything I would want in a small, grab and go kind of way...reverb, two channels, not too heavy, loop, plus it sounds pretty good.

Good choice, Chris :)

Though if you want fatter, smoother and darker the 2554 will be a good choice. I had a 2205 and liked it a lot. (the 50 watt head version of the combo you posted) Nothing wrong with the 800 at all but tonally I personally prefer the Jube version. Ymmv

I prolly would too, tbh, Dave ... but a quick check of the likely price differential had me saying "800, me luv u long time!!!" :x :D

Honestly, I'd LOVE one of those silver faced Jube 1x12s, but I don't see one being likely unless someone goes temporarily insane and offers a stoopid deal on theirs ~ y'know, like you did w/ the Plex? :nerd:

Really?? Dang. Right after I got mine I saw one on tgp for like $900. It was a black tolex model like mine and not the coolio silver version but whatevs. The 2555 satisfies the exclusive silver thing for me but the 2554 has more of a mid range honk.

Yeah, mang. I haven't looked very long or very seriously, but I didn't see any in the <$1K range, and most were like $13-1400. :idk:

So much as I'd like the Hoodoo & e-cred of having one, I may just keep my eye open for a "less desireable" (SHHH!!! :cop: ) model, gnome sane?

Oh shit, yeah if there is that much of a difference it's a no brainer. Dat 800 killed for me.

I was thinking the combos were roughly the same price. How much is a 2205 1x12 combo? (whatever that model is called)

Inorite? A clean channel that crunches, and a crunch channel that roars ... I can't think of a gig I couldn't play with that, esp. if I had a good od up front and a clean boost in the loop for solos. Not that I wouldn't also use a dozen pedals, but with a combo like that, I could quite comfortably play a whole show with just two. :-bd

Haven't checked. I just know the old cliche' about "get the one channel 800, the channel switchers have <dramatic GASP> diodes! :-q Lol ... Well, I may not know tone, but I know what I like. :D

Y'know, as in "I may not know art, but I know what I like!"
