This is one of the top 5 reasons why I can't get owning an R8/R9/G0 out of my system. Even though it's never going to be the same.

The other 4 reasons are
Billy Gibbons
Paul Kossoff
Peter Green
Gary Moore

You took the words right outta my mouth! I have been listening to a ton of Free lately as well. I was going to start a thread on them next. :D

My pops was into them in the early 70s so that sound was stuck into my head at a very young age. I just wish the feel stuck with me when I really got serious about playing.

You know when I was younger I never listened to Free because "All Right Now" was so fucking overplayed... However, its a shame because that song is not really indicative of the rest of their material. Songs like Fire and Water, The Stealer, Mr Big are so fuckin' bluesy and groovin'. Their cover of The Hunter is a personal favorite of mine. :)

The whole Fire and Water album is great! It is one of those that will never come off my phone. I like some stuff off Heartbreaker as well (Seven Angles in particular)

On a fun side note my wife hates Paul Rodgers. On the Bonamassa NY DVD when he came out she was not happy lol.

Hey Shea, you might enjoy reading this review and seeing some pretty cool pics of Creams 1968 Atlanta show.
