On Thursday my Hamer Mirage II arrived. After an initial scare (due to common Hamer neck joint issue), and a pickup swap, I'm really starting to dig this guitar. Just sounds great and plays easily.
Then on Saturday my drummer brings over a CIJ Jazzmaster that he's had laying around for 14 years, mainly in the closet in a gig bag. Currently, it's still his, but it's on loan and will probably be mine eventually.
Next up, I've been looking at Reverend Sensei guitars a lot lately and one popped up on CL. Some crafty trading later, and I've managed to snag 3 guitars in 4 days. I believe that's a new record for me.

So glad you stuck with the Hamer. How's the Custom Custom working out with the stock neck pickup?

The Custom Custom is a great fit for the guitar. Turns out, it was a JB in the bridge. The 59 in the neck works great with the CC.
It now sounds a lot like my LP with the CC, but with less weight. Thanks for the recommendation, luckily, I had one in my box of used parts.
Awesome! I dig the neck '59 in my Studio, but I didn't know how it would jive with the koa top. Yeah, I lubs me some CC in that koa/mahog guitar. I cannot imagine what Hamer might've been thinking, putting a JB in that thing! Yikes!
