Wow, I had no idea this existed. This is the tour I saw them on. Seeing the behind-the-scenes tensions that were going on makes their whole appearance at the merch tables after the show make sense.
- Tom was there, of course, tired but friendly and happy to shake hands, pose for pictures, or sign items. When he saw the book, he was actually kind of excited. He struck up what turned into a 2-3 minute conversation with me, in spite of the 50-60 people behind me in line.
- Martin was kind of holding court, talking about some kind of philosophy with a crowd of 5-6 people. He is clearly a brilliant dude. His English is perfect - not even an accent.
- Anders Odden was standing off slightly to the side, mostly to be out of the way of Tom's and Martin's crowds, but he was friendly, seemed shy, and almost seemed surprised that anyone would want to talk to him, let alone know who he was (Apoptygma Berzerk, Satyricon, etc.).
- Franco was there but looked surly and clearly didn't want to talk to anyone.
I wonder now if they had emerged from the dressing room just having had an argument about playing the three shows in Mexico...

Tom is probably a little difficult, but man; money talks and making that kind of money doing extreme metal? Forget about it. When you read follow up interviews; Tom clearly HATES the drummer. Which is odd because I am sure any number of drummers (big name or not) could have came in and just killed it.
