I just got my Laney AOR 50 out for a while today, and holy shit that amp is seriously one of the best sounding amps I own. I don't care for the high gain sounds, but in the low input with the Master at noon, it does Plexi tones better than my 1987X and my JVM. It is also such a great dynamic amp, you can control the gain just by your pick attack and it takes pedals very good. If you need killer cranked Marshall tones for cheap, seriously look into the AOR series.
I am going to try and get some video clips comparing it to my Marshall's very soon.

I know that these can sound nice but how is the reliability? I remember yrs ago my amp guy telling me to stay away from that era laney amps as they were always breaking. Don't know how true his statement is though.
Re: Laney AOR 50!!!!
ive got a 6 knob one which is very close to a 2203 sounds surprisingly good but my marshall vintage modern suits me more

Is that your Marshall on CL? Any luck with offing it if so?

Re: Laney AOR 50!!!!
No , not my Marshall. I did put the Nitro on there for a few days as a feeler and the replies were just insane. The only reply I got that interested me at all was a guy that had inherited a 62 Strat from his uncle, but the neck was mangled and it had several cracks at the neck joint. The guy was wanting to know if I could match around$6,500 in trade, but would not send any pics of the guitar. I also got offered a Raven guitar with EMG's that was worth $2,000 b/c of the new pick ups. I am so pissed that I missed on that offer.

Re: Laney AOR 50!!!!
I've had my PT50MV AOR50 for a couple years now. I love the thing. I'm in the process of getting a custom amp made, but my AOR is the only one I'm going to keep after I get my custom amp. It's a perfect amp for me. Clean boost out front, and it's Marshally heaven, use the low input with a fuzz pedal, and it's fuzzy heaven. Bass for days and louder than hell.
