Deus ex machina is a divine or divine-like intervention. I have never seen that sentence used to describe gear and I wouldn't know where to apply it.... can you give an example?

OK, seriously now, not sure about the reference. Maybe they are implying that their pedals are god-like? That they provide supernatural tone saving qualities?

LOL I will say this, I've kicked it with Ben the owner of Red Witch and he is a cool dude. Stayed at my place years back when NAMM was in Austin.

Those pedals look interesting. Not really sure why you would need rechargeable pedals but the footprint size is cool.

yeah its a literary cop out

as often judged negatively as it is used. a necessary evil sometimes, a useful device others.
i dont know why red witch, or blakemoore for that matter, put it on their effects.

are they saying, " fuck, im out of pedal ideas. well, time to call it quits. game over. pack it up. oh wait!"

shit, maybe that it actually

I'm still interested in his pedals though. The small size is awesome and the rechargeable idea is fucking cool.

oh yeah, let it be known this is NOT a slander on either red witch or blakemoore, just a cruiosity regarding the term, brought about be only today learning what it meant after seeing it a bunch.

im quite interested in both the 7 sisters series and the deus ex machina fuzz.

Well there's this:

That's pretty much what it is, throw it on the charge at night, no power cables needed. I've been wanting one for a while now.

Pedaltrain has been trying to release their own version for a long time and I think they've finally started shipping. It has some cool features like using a standard USB cable to charge and being able to run pedals while charging (basically becoming just a normal power supply, which the Sanyo can't do) that make me want one.

http://pedaltrain.com/products/power/volto.php

Another cool thing about these battery power supplies that doesn't get talked about much is that they completely eliminate ground loops even if you're daisy chaining a bunch of stuff together.

yeah i remember seeing the volto announced a while back. pretty sweet.

but im holding out until they do something like a power pad pedalboard: pedalboard is an inductive power surface like the cell phone charging mats, each pedal has a little (must be little, or point dies) adapter plugged into the power jack. no wires. call it the motherfucking tesla.
