lol Facebook...

[Rant On]

I use it to keep track of people I know from all over the world/country, but good god some people on there are losers.

I decided to un-friend a bunch of folks the other day.

Mostly because

1) I'm not on there anyway...

and

2) most of them were assholes when I knew them in school and they still are.

Case in point... one fine specimen constantly bitches about her life. Says mildly inappropriate things about people of color or whatever. I hadn't noticed it a whole lot but then I see her post a pic of her kids in their living room and on the wall is a GIANT confederate flag lol. Yup... Bye...

"Can't sleep. Going to the store" posts one chick I've known since elementary school.

Fucking really?

She's sorta chubby and has always looked pouchy and dumpy and is that chick who everyone knows. Instead of just being outgoing and friendly and whatnot she falls for people, likes them from afar, then gets all bitter because they don't like her back, and then gets all weird. I'm thinking she's gonna be gone on the next round of cuts.

Then there's the folks who you know who are constantly hitting you with game invites. Fucking gone.

My personal pet peeve... The people who are Real Estate Agents, Photographers, or run home based businesses who constantly hock their shit on FB to their friends.

The worst was.....

Some asshole I was friends with kept posting about how their 2 year old Daughter was seriously constipated. They were gunning the prune juice down her throat for a couple of days when the poor kids bowels exploded.

Way, way out of her diaper.

Would you post a pic of that?

They did :freak:

I recently find out you can put people on "ignore" (keep their postings from showing up on your feed) without de-friending them or without they even knowing. Best thing ever. I see posts from about 10 people out of my 300+ friends.

You know, there are certain nut jobs that I want to do that to. But they are the only really entertaining part of it. If I shut them down, I won't any reason to stay registered.

I work in water treatment. So my favorite is when people start talking about flouride and chlorine and stuff. Small, informed comments and question will usually sndt people down the Hysterical Highway.

Righteo. That's what I've been doing lately. I got tired of reading what my FB friends are eating for every meal and how God is so great.

I have to admit, the most annoying people in my group of FB friends are my musician friends. I've had to put almost all of them on ignore.

Isn't it sad that we have to "ignore" people instead of just deleting them? Drama

Bands are just as bad for this. If any of them have a business/fan page I think you can filter back how much you see.

My current favorite is a chick who takes every opportunity to share the fem-nazi crap she's reading. Or the new parents that are proud to show every little stupid thing their spawn does. I can't decide which is more annoying.

How bout this...

I have our Son 6 days or so a week. My ex doesn't do shit with him when she has him.

So I'll send her pix of him doing funny or cute things when we're out playing and she'll post them up on FB like it's him and her doing it lol.

I think that probably beats anything you've seen lately for lameness.

I'm not on facebook anymore but when I was I deleted a few "friends" when they would latch onto the recent passing of someone to try and drive sympathy and attention to themselves. In both cases after a person had died the FB friend would announce that her brother had died. After about 10 posts of "I didn't know you had a brother" they would admit it wasn't really their brother, but he was "like a brother to me".
