I do, and so does Mrs. Barrel.

Got to see them live, and it was epic. I love their versions of Child in Time and Soldier of Fortune.

I really want to like it -- I do like Celtic music -- but it's boring -- that said -- is that wifey's new day job?

I just figured it's different.

Honestly this is the first I have seen this stuff.

Musically I can see how some folks might dig it. I'm more interested in how this whole thing started. Was Ritchie into this before hand or does "Candace Night" wield real magic?

You guys want to hear a story about Richie Blackmore that a friend once told me? Well you're getting it anyways...

So my friend was in the studio with Richie and his assistant. All three were sitting in front of the mixing desk. Friend, then the assistant, then Blackmore. The assistant told my buddy that he was not allowed to speak or make eye contact with Blackmore.

So my friend would tweak something at the desk, turn to the assistant and say "What does Richie think?" The assistant would turn, repeat the same shit to Blackmore. Blackmore would respond by whispering in his assistants ear , then the assistant would turn to Anton and repeat whatever Richie said.

Egomaniacs. How do they work?!?

That was awful. I was trying to pin point what exactly I didn't like, and finally realized that I hate every element of that shitfest.

I've got a few of these kinds of stories.. Though Dave (Ron Burgundy) has already heard them all.

But I'll tell one more anyways. :D

This same friend worked on one of the songs for Santana's Supernatural album. So if you remember this album, its the one where Santana had other famous artists write songs and sing on them, while he basically just wanked over the whole song (pretty sure he is in incapable of playing rhythm  ) .

He never once met Santana, though he did talk to him on the phone once. Santana said he was sending over 50 takes of the song, with him just mindlessly wanking over them, and that he wanted my friend to build a complete solo that had a beginning, middle and end to it. At the end of every day, my friend didn't report (send mixes) to Santana, but rather the head of the label, Clive Davis.

this reason I'm not name dropping is because this same friend has told a few of these stories, particularly one about Axel Rose on HCAF, and Axel actually saw it, and had his management contact him.

Believe it or don't believe it. Zero fucks are given by me.

Fucking lawl & oops --

Might want to nuke your buddy's name (been quoted now a couple times) unless that was a pseudonym.
