Utter bullshit
I have at times lived in ca and half my family lives down there still. I assure you that illegal immigrants don't vote.
I'm confused. 'bullshit' that they vote or for me saying that they can (and some do)?
California's website tells you how to register online (in Spanish) and where your polling place is based on their address. (when they ask you for your SS#, just tick the box that says 'I don't have one' and the question magically goes away (I AM NOT SHITTING YOU--I just did it online)
I'm not joking. check it out for yourself.
I'm saying bullshit people who are not citizens cannot vote legally in any state in America. Period. This was actually hotly debated after the patriot act went into effect because several states didn't have stringent enough ID requirements for their State ID cards/Licenses and as such, were in danger of having their citizens votes not counted.
As far as California, according to California...
http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/elections_vr.htmThese are the actual requirements to vote...
Qualifications
To register to vote in California, you must be:
*A United States citizen,
*A resident of California,
*18 years of age or older on Election Day,
*Not in prison, on parole, serving a state prison sentence in county jail, serving a sentence for a felony pursuant to subdivision (h) of Penal Code section 1170, or on post release community supervision (for more information on the rights of people who have been incarcerated, please see the Secretary of State's Voting Rights for Californians with Criminal Convictions or Detained in Jail or Prison),
and
*Not found by a court to be mentally incompetent.
So as you can see, unless you're getting your news from Fox or Michael Savage, the facts don't bear out your hypothesis that illegals vote.
As someone who lives in an area with roughly a 25% Latino population, and having had several friends growing up whose parents were in fact illegal, I can tell you that they do in fact stay the fuck away from places of authority. They don't vote, they don't protest, they don't joint the PTA, etc. They go to work, often for much less than a gringo would make for the same job, they keep their heads down and they raise their families and their kids open businesses or go off to college and become Doctors and Lawyers because they work fucking hard.
the same website allows you to register to vote online. go and register (you can stop at the part that i'm talking about if you want) I'm not bullshitting anyone. I know what its supposed to be. check it yourself.
Good God... You've gotta stop getting your news from conservative sources...
K... here's the skinny on the whole thing...
Birth date verification and legal presence requirements
The issue of identification reliability, integrity, and confidentiality is of prime concern to all citizens. Eligibility for government services, issuance of various licenses, assessment of taxes, the right to vote, etc., are all determined through evaluations based on identification documents. It is critical that identification documents be authenticated and accurate in identifying each individual. The California driver license and ID card have been declared as primary identification documents in this state by the California legislature.
State law requires every applicant for an original California identification (ID) card and driver license to show verification of birth date and proof of legal presence within the United States to help safeguard the accuracy and integrity of departmental documents.
If your current name no longer matches the name on your birth date/legal presence document, see "True Full Name" and "How to Change Your Name" for more information.
Only the original or a certified copy of one of the following documents is acceptable:
US Birth Certificate (certified copy from state or local vital statistics office)
US Certificate of Birth Abroad or Report of Birth Abroad
Federal Proof of Indian Blood Degree
USCIS American Indian Card
Birth Certificate or passport issued from a US Territory
US Passport or US Passport Card

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/dl_info.htm#two500So your assertion that illegals get drivers licenses is again... bullshit.
Yes, if you've got a valid ID, you can register to vote online. They double check your Drivers License # given with that on file and if it matches it generates a ballot which is either mailed out to the address of record, or sent to the appropriate precinct.
Again, the "Voter Fraud" deal and illegals voting is just a red herring to get conservatives to have an apoplectic fit on cue. In fact, if you look up voter fraud stats, as in, the actual instances investigated by the secretaries of state in each of the 50 states, there's a couple of things that will jump out at you...
1) it's almost statistically nonexistant. As in, the instances of it happening are way inside the margin of victory so it wouldn't have made a difference at all anyway.
2) it's almost always a poll worker doing it, not someone casting a ballot improperly.
You only ever really hear about Voter Fraud on Fox News and talk radio because their listener base gets their panties in a twist over it so just the mention of that, Benghazi, Obama and Golf, etc. guarantees a ratings bump.
Prove me wrong.
