We're all fine, thanks for asking. How are things over in trappiste beer land?

Real name: Joris. It got mentioned maybe twice on the old HCAF boards, so it's not really a surprise that you don't remember. It's actually a surprise that you know it's not Keith!
Things are good in Trappist/waffle-land - though big changes have been going on in my life the past 12 months, which will culminate in me moving to the UK next year. And no, it's not for the weather there!

Re: Guten Tag
Hi, I am completely new to this forum and all forums as it happens!
And am simply a mummy of a very good teenage guitarist, I am searching for a new amp for him as a Christmas present and someone suggested this forum, for advice. I have a budget of about £170, he plays mostly heavy rock style music other than that I have no idea what I am looking for any advice would be very much appreciated, Thank you!

Re: Guten Tag
meeeaa,
you will get a lot more responses if you create your own thread for this. navigate into the gear forum for guitars, amps, etc. and click on the button toward the top left that says "New Topic" and post with a title like "need amp recommendations".
We'd love to have a chance to show off how much we know about gear and which options give you the best bang for your buck

Olaf -- great to see you here! Gents, this joint just got a bit classier.
