I can't get enough of The Hives first album!

Post by BleedingWhiskey »

I never really got into that throw-back mod sound the Hives had on their break-our album. Then I had a few buddies tell about how their first album was much different than what they are known for now. More raw, more aggressive garage punk was what I was told. So I checked it out. Damn  Barely Legal is a fucking rockin' album :rawk: It sounds so freakin' fun!

Am I the only one who can't get tired of this album?

It's an amazing album. The Hives completely destroy all the "The __________" neo-garage bands that popped up in the early 2000s.
"If there was only a way that I couldn't even any less than I already can't then I'd gladly not, but I think I've entered some quantum paradox, dark matter levels of can't evening where the total absolute value of not evenness exceeds all ability to explain the can'ting." - MR RUBATO

I didn't get into them either until I saw them live once and they blew me away. That first album is badass. Some of their later stuff is great too.

Yeah, great live band. That Pelle dude is a real showman. Haven't paid any attention to them in well over a decade, but that first record is rockin for sure.
