man what a kick ass band these guys are. fucking awesome show, tones etc (both guitar players are using Budda amps)

I've seen them a few times and they were always awesome. I didn't know they were using Budda's now. :hmm:

Yeah they were using SD80s. There was also a Bad Cat of some kind onstage but I think it was a backup only.

The opening band was Royal Thunder and they also killed! Dude was playing a P90 L.P. through a cranked plexi :love:
First time I've heard of this band but they're awesome. They would have stolen the show if the main band wasn't Baroness.

4 hour round trip by myself sounded like a crappy friday night.

Nice! One of my favorite bands. I saw them with Meshuggah and Decapitated a while back, it was an epic show to say the absolute least...

But I can't lie, I thought it was kind of a disappointment compared to their previous albums

I thought that at first but then I realized it was mostly because it wasn't the direction I wanted them to go. After I got over I like it just as much as the previous ones its just a bit different.

I also understand the disappointment though. :D
