Getting my wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow :(

I think the wisdom teeth thing is a case by case thing. The first one I had was no problem, but then, the abscess was worse. I had to have a second one 5 years later when the dumbfuck dentist was replacing an old filling and damaged the nerve by going too deep (I nearly jumped out the damn chair). The first anaesthetic didn't help during the surgery, and it turned out the needed to numb a different nerve, it was only accessible by injecting it in the tooth. That was the worst pain I've felt to date.

if you start to feel naucious while the anesthetic is being administered, ask them to put a cold rag on the back of your neck. works.


also i learned two things during mine:

-red haired people are notoriously resistant to anesthetics (wtf? yup)

- i am immune, yes immune, to vicodin proper. apparently there is a synthetic and a natural version of those type of painkillers, and whichever one vicodin is, i have to use the other as vic has zero effect.

I'm immune too which is something I discovered as a result of having my wisdom teeth taken out. To be honest I didn't take any of the Vicodin right after I got them taken out because I wasn't in that much pain. But about two months later I threw out my back so I popped one and it had no effect. Then two. Them three. Nothing. At the time I was 6'4" and 310 so I figured that because I was a big guy they were weak but then my wife took a quarter of one for her knee that she blew out a couple months after that and she was fucking blasted.

exactly! i had 8+ pills at once at one point, nothing. no effect, good or bad, at all. kristin took one and she was loopier than fuck.

When I got mine out they didn't even give me enough to fully knock me out.

It wasn't so bad though.

That night I ate cake, a burger, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and fries.
