I am on US Cellular, simply because that is what I have been on for years because it was the only thing that would work in my area, but since I am traveling a lot now, this thing does not really work all that well anymore. It will say I have 3G service, but most of the time, I can't do shit on it when it says that. Kinda strange....
And even more recently, it goes from saying I had 3G, to having absolutely nothing at all. Calls are constantly dropped now, and I have finally had enough.
So, I am looking to switch services, but I don't know whether to go with AT&T, or Verizon. Sprint is out of the question, because the drummer in the band has Sprint, and while his service is better than mine, that aint saying much. He has as many problems with his phone as I do with mine.
I am kinda leaning towards Verizon, because from their coverage map, it is more friendly to my area, and the 4G LTE looks like it has more places available than AT&T. But I am not sure how accurate that is. I know AT&T is good for the most part everywhere, but I would actually like to be able to kinda halfass use my phone when I come home for a couple of weeks.
So whatcha got for opinions?
TL;DR, Need a new wireless provider. AT&T or Verizon, and why?

Re: What wireless network you guys using?
from a purely anecdotal viewpoint, Verizon because of fewer issues with dropped calls. Also, our office is in a metal building and Verizon is the only provider whose signal is reliable in the building - all others have issues.
Also Verizon because their 4G is actually 4G LTE, not a compressed 3G. Props to AT&T for trying to provide a better experience for as many customers as possible, but at least call it what it is, and don't plaster ads everywhere saying you offer 4G in more markets when you really don't.

Re: What wireless network you guys using?
I have Verizon simply because it has solid nationwide coverage and I want a cellphone that works when we travel.
I'm still using a flip phone so I can't tell you anything about 3G/4G/LTE or any of that stuff.

This would be why I still rock a flip phone.

Check out Ting, they use AT&T network I think but you're not under contract. I think there's also a discount code you can get if you use JRE or something like that.
I'm not in the states so I don't have first hand experience, here there's basically a duopoly so they bend us over the table big time. My cell bill is over $70/month and I have barely any data and basic calling services (voice mail, free calls after 7pm and 5 numbers I can text/call anytime included).

Eh, that's not too far off what entry plans with any data are on a major carrier here though you guys still have all the weird late 90s/early 00s call restrictions and shit. Ugh.

EE. But unless you're willing to move, that information is entirely useless for you.
