New wiring harness day, yay!

Recently bought my first soldering iron (i know, i should have done it 35+ years ago), first project pic.

Cts500 pots, sprague vitamin q 0.27 caps. 50's wiring.

i should clean up my wiring some day. id say now is as good a time as any, considering Gizmo seems to have developed a grounding issue.

Well yes, it was necessity that forced my hand. The bridge vol pot kept seizing up, the tone pots are yamaha push/push pots (2006 yamaha sg2000) that don't seem to be 100% clever since the stock pickups were changed, and I wanted to try another neck pickup, so going to do a full rewire and pickup change together.

What is that solder around all 3 Wires?
