Not quite that bad but I had to take a piss on the side of the road in Manitoba once and basically went insane/pissed all over myself trying to deal with the swarm of mosquitos.

Someone tried to tell me that mosquitoes were the state bird of Texas (and, over the years, Florida and Tennessee, too). I always have to tell them that it's cute they think they have mosquitoes, but they just don't know.

yup,
the further north you go, the crazier the mosquito sizes are, individual and swarms. in the south, though, we have them year-round.
