Ted Nugent is one of those guys like Dave Mustaine who's...not reeeeeeeally all that smart, but just smart enough to be semi-informed and well-spoken, so they make for a good soundbite or interview. Really just smart enough to be extra dumb.

There are plenty of legitimately brilliant people out there who happen to be musicians, whether on the liberal (e.g. Moby) or conservative (e.g. Skunk Baxter) side. No need to listen to Ted make veiled threats on the president's life, or Dave explain why the United Nations is the New World Order.
