Read the book "DoubleCrossed". It's the story of Sam Giancana and the Chicago Mafia. It paints, to me anyway, the most plausible and probable scenario.

I'm not a conspiracy theory guy, it's just a damn good read.

My opinion has always been that it was the one person who had the most to gain from his death. L.B. Johnson is the one and only name that comes to my mind. Is it just a coincidence that it took place on LBJ's home turf? LBJ resented the young punk who got the presidency when he felt it should have been him instead. LBJ was a very disgruntled VP, and angry at the democratic party. :shoot:

I used to be a huge JFK conspiracy buff. However, as I got older, the ridiculous amounts of conflicting theories eventually led to me to conclude it was more than likely a single shooter. Occam's Razor and all that.

It always amazes me when these guys want to tell "their side of the story"

News flash: your product IS your side of the story. It tells everything we need to know.

What about Oswald's shoddy weapon and the fact that JFK's head went back and to the left? Or the fact that Oswald was barely competent as a shooter? LHO was a patsy.

Well, I'm not going to get drawn into arguing the merits of a particular theory. Been there, done that, more times than I'd care to admit. :D
Also, if there's one thing I've learned -- and this isn't directed at you SOA -- debating with conspiracy theorists is exactly the same as arguing with religious zealots. You can place a mountain of evidence in front of them but as long as it doesn't fit what they want to believe, they rarely, if ever, change their minds.

:thu: :thu: :thu: :thu: :thu: Well said . . .

I firmly belive Oswald was the only shooter. I don't really believe there was a conspiricy to hire him, but IF there was one I still think LBJ would be the likely villan.

One thing I will leave here is this: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/jfkmovie.htm

Stone played so fast and loose with the assassination -- not to mention just making shit up -- it's no wonder so many people believe there was a conspiracy.

So, you want to know, who killed the President and connived in the cover-up? Everybody! High officials in the CIA, the FBI, the Dallas constabulary, all three armed services, Big Business and the White House. Everybody done it — everybody but Lee Harvey Oswald. Time Magazine, Dec. 23, 1991, describing the thesis of "JFK"

A JFK from a parallel universe where he was never assassinated and the mob blackmailed and disgraced him. Obviously.
