Mesa Mark Footswitch

Post by bfgamps »

I recently picked up a Mesa MKIII and it didn't have the foot switches with it...pretty common now days. There was no way I was paying for those $$$ ones on fleabay so I just made one from a used 4 button switch I picked up super cheap and a 7 pin shielded midi cable. I wired it up and and spliced in the 1/4" jack cables and used shrink tubing that has glue inside so the cables aren't going anywhere. It works great and now all the switches are on one pedal. The EQ and Reverb use a 9v battery and the other ones are powered from the amp. These all in one switches are really nice if you gig with your amp and they are pretty simple to wire up.

Nice job Brian. Those MKIII's are a great bang for the buck.
