+1 on both counts.

I am a member over at another 1-man board, the way that one stays afloat is there is a MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS thread that only shows up to registered members.
Donations are acknowleged and tracked, but are strictly voluntary.

The board is http://www.usacharvels.com - he has a strict post-when-you-visit-or-be-banned policy - but it is a very well run board.

If you offered free HJ's for the guys and lap puking for the ladies, you could probably double that number.

I hear that. Been a member there for a dozen years, was even a mod for a few years. THAT is textbook proof you can run a huge vBulletin community without issue. TB is proof that HC just doesn't know it's community from a hole in the ground. I haven't needed to sell anything recently, but I was a paid member up until about '09.

Best bass classifieds on the net, bar none.

exactly dude. i can count pretty much on one hand how many times in the last decade that site has been completely shut down for maint or screw ups, etc.. it's run extremely well and they even have their own semi-decent app now (actually it's a V-2 at this point) so yeah, the VB excuses are/were crap from HC.

I will not charge anyone to use classifieds a la TGP or Talk Bass - ever. Unless you guys convince me that it is actually a good idea for the members (not for me).

Also, at the moment the forum does not need any financial help, and I don't foresee needing it in the near future. I do appreciate the offers though. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside O:-)

In 2007, Little and his company, Max World Entertainment, Inc., were indicted by the United States Department of Justice Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section with five counts of transporting obscene matter by use of an interactive computer service and five counts of mailing obscene matter, relating to five movies[17][18] showing fisting, urination and vomiting.[19] Little was subsequently found guilty on all charges,[19] and sentenced to 46 months in prison.[20] On appeal, the 11th Circuit Court in Atlanta, Georgia upheld the conviction, but remanded his sentence.[21] Little began serving his sentence on January 29, 2009.[22][23]

The jury ordered the internet domain www.MaxHardcore.com to be forfeited but declined to forfeit Little's house in Altadena, California.[19]
