Nerd Weekend

Post by Yarbicus »

This weekend is one I look forward to all year: The Ordo Fanaticus Club Challange (Warhammer Fantasy Battles)! http://www.ordofanaticus.com/blog/

It is basically 100 guys invading a hotel in Vancouver, WA and playing games (and drinking lots of booze) all weekend. Here is a sneak peak at some of the fun things in my Orc army:

I am a horrible painter and abysmal player but I have fun army and always make sure my opponent has a blast. The Goff Rockers in the pic are well over 15 years out of production just like lots of my army. More posts of drunk nerdiness to come!

That is so awesome.

I am so jealous.

I want to go break out my WHF guys....my Orc army was AWESOME. When they didn't fail their rolls and fight each other.

Lots of night goblins. Even more night goblin fanatics....hehe, I loved those guys. Turn them loose and pray they make it to the enemy!

damn, i'm jelly. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jelly!

I used to paint WH40K orks a LOT, I still have the whole army standing around in the bookcase of my music room. I actually have that set of goff rockers somewhere still unpainted.
Enjoy it man! It's a blast from my past, I'm slightly jelly of the time I lived in the UK, in walking distance of a very busy Games Workshop. That's now 20 years ago :P

Cool...I still have about 2500 pts of Space Marines still laying around the house. I started a Warhammer Fantasy army at some point, but my desire to paint just died out, so I never finished it.

My problem as well. And gluing the arms back on dozens of night goblins over and over again got old.

To think I have been all over the endless bounds of the internet, but have never stumbled upon this hobby. I guess I need to hit up Google some more.

Stare into the Nerd Abyss, small-timer. You think you're a nerd because you own a Star Wars costume? Nah, nah bro. Having a regiment of Eldar War Walkers, that's nerd. Yarb's been nerding harder, longer than both of us put together. Because he already knows:

Yes, words for this level of awesomeness do fail mere mortals. :cop:

Hard drinking & Munchkin is always a good way to end a long day of gaming.

I want to play Warhammer so bad, I just have no desire to put my army back together. *sigh*

Looks like an awesome time Yarbicus!
