NGD: 7 string Rhoads

Post by Holy-diver »

The normal size rhoads is hilariously small to me, plus all my 7s have a 26.5 in scale so this seemed like a no brained. I have to say it’s actually awesome!! Check it

Cool score, congrats. I had a 6 string Rhodes. I got drunk and Pete Townsended it.

Pretty cool. Is this current production? I remember the old ToM 7 string Rhoads but I haven’t seen one like that. Looks like Fishmans, So I assume it’s relatively new. Looks better than those old hardtail versions

Yeah it came out a few months ago so it’s super new, it’s a suicide silence guitarist I think, it’s mark heylmun (spelling lol) i got it from the actual guy on OfferUp. i actually know nothing of suicide silence other than I was a metal elitist when I was a teenager so I hated them  it’s a rad guitar though, I can’t believe how much indo imports are costing new now I think this is something like 1699 new  absolutely crazy.

I love Jackson reverse headstocks, but man I wish they'd lower the angle just a hair pinch.

It’s a little steep, but my honest opinion is the Made in Indonesia guitars that are on the “higher” end are generally pretty good. I have an LTD m-1 custom 1987. I think they retail at $1100. And I had to do a little bit of fret leveling, but honestly I find almost ALL new guitars need a little. If not somewhat significant. Like say made in Mexico Fenders. The setups and fretwork is generally substandard, but once it’s leveled and set up, I think THOSE are really good too. But my LTD is a great guitar. All the finish, the paint and binding and all the hardware and pickups are of good quality. So in the end, I don’t have a problem paying $1000 to o prolly $1500. Above that it’s getting a little bit hard mentally to pull the trigger but this seems within reason considering it’s an artist model and a somewhat rare version of the Rhoads..
