So, this song has been on the shelf in the works for a while. I had a rough idea of the lyrics, and no music. So, I recycled more of my own 4 chord post rock melodies, and bumped the speed up to 99bpm. It's about this girl I knew in college. I really liked her. She seemed really cool. I looked her up on FB a few years ago. She had seemingly become quite different, personality-wise. Looked like she had plastic surgery. Her name was now stupid. It made me kind of sad.
I was careless in my recording and a bunch of stuff bled together. It sucks. I had to do some creative EQ-ing.
I brought in a real vocal mic for this (Shure SM7B). The choir mic wasn't cutting it.
I tried to add bass, and it sounded like shit. Ended up using the Akai analog synth to round out the bottom. It sounds awesome.
