There's a Mesa Fillmore 100 watt combo on craigslist right now, the amp interested me when it came out along with their California Tweed. Demos sound pretty nice on the cleans, even the clipped and gain sounds pretty good and I read it takes pedals very well. I would be offering a guitar trade for it, but it is a pricey amp being a Mesa.
I am just wondering if I would be better off getting a Fender Deluxe reverb for less and holding onto the guitar.

I am having a Fillmore 25 on backorder and hope to get it by the end of the year - same story, liked the demos, the pedal friendliness and the format of the 25. In case you’d decide to get the 100 I‘d be super curious to hear your thoughts on it.

Haven't played one but I've seen them in action live and they sound great. How much do you like the guitar? I love DRs but youll have a heck of a lot more flexibility with a fillmore

It's a core PRS Mira maple top, I have an all mahogany Mira and a maple top, I prefer the all mahogany but the maple top has a different sound and feel so I have no issues holding onto it, but if something else of interest ever comes up, the maple top is the first guitar I consider getting rid of.

Both the Fillmore and California Tweed have piqued my interest. I'd love to try out both of them.

Yes I do like the flexibility of it, and for a Mesa combo, the 100 watt isn't too bad at under 60 pounds compared to my Road King combo which is well over 100 pounds. Most of the time, I have been playing clean amps using pedals for the dirty stuff.

I don't own one but I've played it a few times. It's a killer amp for cleans to medium gain tones. I think it's based on the blackface Bassman, or at least it sounds like it is.
While it is capable of high gain, I don't know if it would fit the modern high gain category as it does not stay tight on high gain settings. It sags, but in s good way. Again, very much like a Bassman does.
For classic rock, it is a great amp, one of the best currently out there honestly.
For modern music, it's more Doom/Stoner than modern metal.

I've got the higher gain covered with the Road King. I find the older I get, the more I am getting away from high gain tones and more into nice cleans and lower gain. Sounds like this amp covers it.
