Depends on the song! Ha.

I just finished Swingset today. Rhythm guitars are my Ecstasy classic, lead guitars are my homebrew Trainwreck express build. Everything was played with my new Yamaha SF1000.

Expectations has my 5150’s crunch channel doing rhythm and leads are my 2203 boosted with a Maxon 808.

Congress is my matchless independence and two rock bionyx.

this is the first and last time i'm likely to ever say this sentence, but...

I love Congress.

Tones are highly sexual and deeply erotic. Perfect fit for the song.

Might try some vocals, but I’ve really been trying to convince my old singer to come out of retirement.

Nice stuff and some great tones. Tell us more about the recording chain. What DAW, outboard and ya know the geeky stuff.
Great transactions - Davidian, twisty, Dooredge, Mike LX-R, drkorey, Thurston, colejustesen, Mortatone, thesockmonster

Haha sure.

The drums are the GarageBand SoCal kit triggered with my Roland TD4 (yes that's me playing drums).

Guitars are all run into my two notes captor and then through the wall of sound plug-in. As far as the speaker sim/IRs go, I almost exclusively used the Celestion G12-35XC (SM57, balanced) and the RedWirez Greenback (421, cone off axis 0”) models.

Bass was recorded with my heavily modified Squier P-Bass into my ‘69 Bandmaster Reverb’s normal channel through the Captor. The IRs for that are the Wall of Sound 810 and 115 cabs (57 and 421) respectively.

Didn’t really do any mixing beyond adjusting levels and then applying the Focusrite FAST Balancer to the master.

This was all badass. Reminds me of all the music that starting hitting when I was in college. Maybe it was stuff like "At the Drive in". Sounds great!
