New Guitar Day

Post by Dave »

Someone offered me this for my little plexi. Sick amp but time to try out some new gear. Funny we were just talking about Flying Vs

It’s a 2004 V98.

It’s a nice guitar and the guy kept it in amazing shape but I get along with Vs like you get along with Les Pauls

I wasn’t aware of this model before today but seems somewhat desirable. Seems to be the closest to the original 50s spec without dropping 5 figures on a custom shop.

Let me know if you want to talk about it.

That is classy as hell. If I ever got a V shape something just like that would be a strong contender.

I like that V a lot! And that SF Bandmaster  not gonna lie I’ve considered converting my SF Vibrolux Reverb into a head and leaving the combo cab and speakers separate for whenever I want a combo.

I love Fender combos. Keep it stock since you'd have to account for the reverb tank and what not.

Yeah I probably will. I can always just disconnect the speakers and run to a cab when I want that sound.

I think it's the stock 496r/500t ceramic combo. They're definitely hot but not as harsh as I remember them.

I LOVE the sound of the 500t (and 498) in a V. Ton of sizzle but really pleasant sounding. Good stuff!
