Trip to Atomic = NAD

Post by GuitarBilly »

So I was bored this afternoon and decided to go to Atomic Music. I took my SG (that I never play) and a few pedals I had laying around here. Walked out with a JCM900 DR 50w. Straight trade, no money out of pocket.

I forgot how much I like these 900s. They have their own thing going, definitely very different than the plexi. But still 100% Marshall. It kind of overlaps with the DSL, although the DSL can get closer to a classic Marshall tone. But with higher gain settings they're in the same ballpark. The 900 is classic 90s rock/metal all the way.

So yeah, epic pile just got more epicER

Still missing a JCM800 and JVM in that pile. Congrats! And the Plexi solo in your other thread is the best you have ever sounded.

you should get a mimiq and use a couple half stacks, your solos would sound killer with the doubled up effect

Right. Marshall has 3 logo sizes for their heads.
The Plexis and early JMPs are 6".
The late 70s JMPs, all the JCMs (800, 900, 2000), JVMs, and Jubilee are 11".
The Valvestate, Mosfet, JTM60, DSL100H and HR are 9".

So here the SV20 and 1987x are 6"
JCM900 11"
DSL100H 9"
