It sucks because his earlier ESP and BC Rich Vs were really cool. At some point he decided to add the pinchers and it's been all downhill from there

It’s all right. The other guitarist in my band is much more into getting Slayer gear than myself and he has the Dean V. It’s fine too. It doesn’t look bad or dumb at all when playing it. Sorta fat neck profile. Or fatter than I expected

Yeah I think he's retired now. He's still has enough pull for signature gear, I think. Slayer is as legendary a band as they can get.

He's got a new band, but they're trying desperately to keep the name under wraps for some reason. There's some legal registrations for the name "Blood Reign" which people are claiming is going to be the name of the band, but it's entirely possible that'll be his own label specifically for a band of a different name. I guess there's gonna be some big announcement in the coming weeks, as there's supposed to be an album this summer.

He has a band coming. Even when he signed with Dean he mentioned he isn’t doing this if he’s not gonna be playing.. or sumthin like that.
And according to him don’t expect anything new in regards to the new band. Basically “modern” Slayer with a different Vocalist
That's actually good in my book. I don't expect or even want him to play any other style.

Yeah I agree. He should do what he’s always been doing. But modern Slayer hasn’t really been much more than a random flicker of interest to me. But maybe he has a bit of a fire to come out with something a step up considering he’s basically the last remaining dude, besides Lombardo of course. But he’s not really continuing the Slayer sound much. And supposedly Bostaph is the drummer for this new project. And paraphrasing. But recently King was talking about how he showed some friends parts of the new stuff and he said their response was “This sounds more Slayer than Slayer.” Hahah. Or sumthin like that… Ol Kerry… Maybe he was referring to it sounding more old school Slayer than the last incarnation.
Cause as much as people tend to rip on Kerry, and it’s arguable Jeff was always the better songwriter, Kerry was no slouch at all. Some of my favorite songs Kerry wrote. Jeff seemed to write the all time classics. But kerry wrote some of the most brutal stuff. So I got a bit of hope he’s got a little left in the tank
