so I went online over the weekend and lucked out, found some guys with some killer gear and got some good stuff duped... now I have a lvl61 inflammable Bee and a lvl61 Fire Norfleet... with those and a couple other random weapons I've gotten in just normal game play I'm now capable of holding my own again... I would really like to get either an electric norfleet or possibly a slag norfleet... but at this point I'm doing pretty good on my own again.. for now lol... going to push through the main story again then hit up the Torque and Hammerlock DLCs main stories... maybe a couple side quests to get the loot.... now it's just a matter of time for the new DLC though, looking forward to it

Haven't played in a while and I was really not into the idea of the next DLC when I heard it was Tiny Tina centric but this looks absolutely amazing.

^ totally. Looks very fun.
Probably their most ambitious effort so far.

Been playing BL1. This last weekend I beat the Knoxx DLC for the first time.
A lot of talk about how Knoxx set the bar for DLCs in the borderlands series.
While I think it was fun, the loot is great, and Craw is a fun addition.........I'm not sure how people complain about the BL2 DLCs being sub-par?
Scarlett, Torgue, and Big Game were easily on part with Knoxx in terms of size, length, and interaction.....if not more so.
Maybe that's just the power of loot talking?
I have to say, putting so many hours into a game, it sure is nice to be able to farm the armory.

What's funny though, playing through the game, before the armory........I ended up with 20 legendaries and plenty of purple/blue gear that I was using the entire game.
Those just randomly dropped or were available in the vending machines.
The weapons were so much more interesting and unique too.
I pretty much used a Volcano sniper and a pestilent defiler a majority of the time. not exactly easy mode, but I felt powerful.

That's really where BL2 went wrong.
I know it's been said, but man, had they maintained that level of weaponry, AND improved all the things they did........BL2 would have been as legendary as BL1.
I would have liked to be in that meeting..........lower drop rates or make it impossible to find anything cool (plus make the game scale so fast, that you're forced to use shit weapons), and make people turn to duping, and modding......FUCK I vote yes to that.

rant over.

I leveled up my Zero to 61, finished the main story and main story lines in the 3 DLCs along with a few side missions and now I'm pretty bored... I can't wait for that Tiny Tina DLC to come out to give me a reason to play again..

No kidding.
There isn't much for fun farming in BL2 (treasure room and Pete maybe).....or re-play value (playing through the same content 3 times)

Zero at 61 is a monster.

I played through most of PT2 with Krieg from scratch. Pretty fun character.....but eventually got bored with playing through everything again.

I have a good time with Zero at lvl61.. I probably am not using him to his fullest potential though, I just never had a reason to respec him to absolutely slay people since I find my build to be a really nice balance.. I think I will probably sit down and do the math to come up with a killer build when the new DLC comes out..

I have the Kunai and I then split my points between bloodshed and sniping. What this lets me do is take guys out from far and once I get in to the middle of a fight my melee is pretty strong..

hahaha.. thanks... but it's all about having a Bee Shield, a Hawkeye sniper and a Sandhawk lol... the Hawkeye can give INSANE damage, with a lvl61 bee shield once get a critical hit minimum damage is 2.8 million, if I hit someone not looking at me it goes to over 3 million which is enough to one shot most small guys... I also have a corrosive pimpernel sniper that SLAYS robots. My whole approach is about keeping my shield up, so it's lots of hit and run attacks and going in to deception using the Kunai and waiting for my shield to recharge before I use the sandhawk again, which when you use the bee shield is realllllly powerful

Can you imagine what it was like around release........when the Bee and conference call wrecked face?
You could take down anything in 1 shot, and I've seen Terra go down in a few clips.

I'm kidding because I've done that too. The Bee is pretty sweet for a lot of the game. I use it with my Maya playing co-op.

With Zero, I had always tried to play more of a pure melee style......which is pretty hard.....fun but hard.

There are a lot of "overpowered" combos in the game.

yeah.. I used the Bee and Conference call combo before they "fixed" the bug... at least with the Sandhawk the bullets are slowwwwww and don't go straight, so it can be tough at midrange and a waste of time for long range.. I've wanted to try Zero as a melee character but I figure it would be fine more some enemies but be near impossible to kill some kinda common enemies and forget about bosses... so maybe one day when I'm bored I'll do it lol but for now I kinda like my build, I do think I can use my points a little better, I just need to do the math.. I also only have a level 30 something legendary class MOD that gives me +3 points on some skills, so I know if I get a lvl50 version or higher I'll get +5 on the same skill points and REALLY kick some ass

I've never been able to beat a boss solo. :idk:
Did Pete with 2 and 3 players.......hyperius with 3, can't beat Terra, Vorac.............and haven't even tried Gee.

Since you were talking about it, I loaded up my Zero last night......pure melee, you need to be very accurate with kunai, and have to wait until the kunai process damage, then strike........repeat.
Gotta be very aware of your surroundings and where enemies are. Done right, in UVHM you can cause some real damage.......IF your skills are being activated properly. being attacked, enemy having low health, backstab, and striking at 0.01 on the clock.
I think I saw a 340000k melee attack last night (not exactly sure, but the number was really big with a k at the end). crazy....what is that? 340 million?

Definitely a lot more involved game play.

I've taken a fancy to Sal as of recent. Just run in and destroy.
Maya is still my main tho.

I've only been able to be Terra solo.. the rest not so much... I've come close to Pete with Zero... but no cigar.. I haven't even TRIED the rest solo.. that's just a waste of time IMO unless you use the evil smasher mod etc...

Man, I can only get Terra down to 50% or so........probably should use that rock.

yeah... the rock is 100% necessary... then the Bee Shield and Sandhawk, a fire sandhawk would be even better... I like to keep my Norfleet in waiting in case I get knocked down and need to kill one of his arms quickly... then after that it's a lot of ducking, hiding and shooting

Just hide behind the rock, huh?

you hide there BUT there will be a point when Terra comes up to the rock.. it's on the 3rd or 4th time he goes underground... just before he pops up I put up a deception and book it to hide behind another rock, hit him some shots from there when he goes back to the middle head back to the rock, rinse and repeat

if he does the blackhole deal and you're ducking behind the rock you will be safe.. and the tentacles can't get you there either unless the spawn right next to you... then you just take them out fast

Alright.....going to try this tonight or tomorrow. Thanks.

I had always known about the rock, but usually only fought Terra in co-op.............tried to hide there, but was probably trying to shoot too much, and having to revive people.
