Tennessee is a beautiful state.
Been here for the last week now. Did the Air BnB thing and got a nice hilltop cabin outside of Sevierville. Ain’t done much. Ventured into town a bit here and there, had some local food. Hit up Dollywood for a day which was cool. My parents drove down with us from Michigan and my sister and brother in law came up to meet us from Georgia. My dad never knows how to take a vacation when he’s home as he needs to be busy. This time he couldn’t be and he just took it in and loved it. Plus he got a TON of Grandson time to his week. My boy his been attached to his hip.
Today we drove down to the Smokey mountains park and we walked a nature trail with the kiddo. He loved it. Tomorrow we drive back up to MI. It’ll be nice to sleep in my own bed but imma miss this state. I could get used to living in a place like this.

I live in Maryville just outside of the Cades Cove side of the Smoky Mountains. It's a great place to live and people are moving here from all over the country like you wouldn't believe because of the area plus there are tons of jobs here. Glad you enjoyed it!

We have season passes to Dollywood. About a month ago me and the wife stayed at a b&b just past Dollywood. Ya know the road ya turn on to get to the parking lot? Don’t turn into the parking lot, just go straight through the light, and turns into a small windy road.

Yeah man that whole southern Appalachia area is a super comfy place to be. Always great to hear about some fun traveling

Re: Tennessee is a beautiful state.
Small world. I played a gig in Bristol last night, which I think is maybe an hour from Sevierville. Had a great crowd and met some nice people. Such a beautiful area.
It was mentioned that people are moving there from other parts. Yeah, I picked up on that when talking to the locals. Seemed like many of them weren't originally from the area. Actually, that's something I noticed in other small southern towns I've played this summer. If it's a small southern town with either mountains or lakes, you're bound to hear some east coast accents.

My sister lives outside of Nashville and I spent 4 days in a beautiful air bnb too. Really gorgeous state. Downtown Nashville was fun af at night too.
But alas… to many morbidly obese people for my comfort. Like seriously people. It’s beautiful outside. Go for a fucking walk.

Man! I love the UP but I think I prefer to visit Vs stay there. If I were to live anyway in northern Michigan, it would be Manistee. I love that place.
