I've often heard Brian May referred to as "poodled haired rocker"

Judging from the looks on their faces, the fellas in Britney Fox don't find this joke to be very funny.

"Puddelrock" is a Norwegian expression as well. Possibly also used in Sweden.

I've never met an Irish guy (that I can recall anyway) but I've definitely heard the term poodle rock before :D

Slightly off-topic, but tangentially related :)

Years ago I had a pool built and the truck with the last load of water to fill it had just left. I was checking the filter and pump and noticed a guy in swim trunks with a towel over his shoulder walking towards me from two houses down. As he got close, he said "do you mind if an Irishman swims in your pool" - right before he jumped in. My first thought was DAFUQ ?? Here's a brand new pool I hadn't even been in and some dude I don't know gets first crack at it? He swam to the side, told me his name and that he was a relative of my neighbor and that he was in the states for a visit. He came back later with a couple of beers and we sat on the deck shooting the shit. I didn't really care much for that neighbor, but his relative was cool.
