Nah there are still some cool places in LA


Off the top of my head

The Whaler in Venice

Trip Santa Monica

Sugar Mill in Tarzana

Last Call in Tarzana

These places are not high end but they have nice jams and bands playing in these venues.

When I say high end I just mean dependably great music. Also, genre doesn’t really matter. If it’s good, it’s good.

When are you visiting? I bought tickets for Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt who will perform at a local university theater on November 9. I'm looking forward to this.
