I suggest buying a Corvette the day the divorce is finalized, and embrace your inner sociopath. It's truly the best and only way.

Women. They cheat. Almost all of them. I grew up in a family with 3 older sisters and no brothers. Most of my close friends in my 61 years have been women and that is still true today. I've been surrounded by women all my life.

Of all the women I know, I can only think of one that I'm pretty sure never cheated and I'm not 100% sure of her. Funny thing is, they almost always feel justified for their actions and usually blame the guys. They really don't see themselves as doing something bad.

Move on, stay busy doing literally anything. Just stay busy. Things will get better. Just stay busy. Keep moving.

I tend to agree with you there. Women cheat and say that they were driven to it. Their friends back them up and see no problem with it. Men cheat and are seen as lying, cheating, philandering pieces of shit. It's a real double standard.

However, just to be clear, although I am angry about what she did, I don't hate my wife.

I don't really want a Corvette, but as I'm entitled to half her pension (she's a nurse), I may use part of that money for an extravagant purchase. maybe an LPC. :hmm:

If she reached the point where she couldn't be faithful, it's good that she decided to leave. A lot of people don't and just go on living a double life for as long as they can get away with it and that's even more painful.
I know it's hard to look at things from that perspective right now, but I think eventually you will. I got divorced from my first wife/Brandon's mom 19 years ago. She cheated on me too. I was devastated at the time especially because Brandon was just a baby. But looking back and seeing the paths my life and hers took after we got divorced, I now feel like I dodged a bullet.

After the initial shock, I enjoyed a good single life for almost 16 years, had a lot of fun and now I am happily married to someone who's a much better match for me than anyone I've ever met.

Point being, there's life after divorce and after the initial shock passes, you will see it's not a bad one.

Damn Zeegler, mojo sent, that is life-changing.

I'm with Billy on this. I was with a girl for 13 years (though we never married), she cheated on me, and it damn near broke me, but I bounced back, crashed headlong into the most terrible of rebound relationships, got my shit together, and took my life in a great direction it never would have. Four things I never thought I'd do happened: I became my own boss, I moved abroad, I had a kid, and I got married. And I'm happier than I was back then.

Looking back, I'm still amazed how I almost never think of my ex even though she was basically my life for over a decade.

That's not the right attitude.

If you don't want a Corvette, buy a Porsche.

Then slut your way through Tinder for a while. Stop having any feelings at all for your ex wife. No sympathy, no anger, no anything. Any emotional bandwidth directed on her is energy wasted. Now is the time to live your best life.

I mean, buy the LPC too. Because fuck it, why not?

Personally, I'm too lazy to cheat.
Cheating takes a lot of work and unfortunately, I have a conscience.

I've learned to keep all women at an arms length and to never let myself become obsessed with them.... for some reason, this attitude makes you more attractive to them. Go figure?

I'll tolerate cheating one time, as long as they believe it was a mistake.
In time - and if they are so inclined - they will love you more if you're able to forgive.
But, if they verbalize that they want to leave, it's always better to let them go without trying to get them to stay.

Sometimes, it's easy to tell when a woman has cheated....
They will be angry with you for no reason; not the kind of angry like, when you forgot their birthday, which is a sad angry.
When they cheat, it will be an "I hate you" kind of angry and it will come out of nowhere.
Like Diddlybo said, in their head, they're blaming you.
The last time that happened to me, she was very angry and yelled at me for absolutely ridiculous reasons.
I calmly said, "If you keep being nasty to me, I'm going to think you cheated".... man, that shut her right up!!!
Women, who have been life long cheaters, will keep YOU at arms length because, they are always looking for something better.

If they have a conscience, they'll only cheat on you once because, they won't want to relive the feelings of guilt.
But, as I mentioned, once they verbalize that they want to leave, it's always best to let them go without trying to get them to stay.

Shit sorry to hear man. Like others have said, keep yourself occupied and work on yourself. It will get better. I get not wanting to play guitar even. That’ll come back around in its own time. Just hang with friends and try to keep your head up. It’s ok to hurt. And I support the pension money for LPC purchase idea.

Mojo hommie.

That horizon is infinite and yours to traverse now unchained by lies and deceit. Embrace the hurt and watch it become the freedom to be your next better self.
