Pickles on burgers are pretty much disgusting. Onions yes. Jalapeños yes. Pickles can fuck off outta my burger.

In Cuba, they don't eat pickles, at least I've never seen any. When you get a burger, it's got lettuce, tomato, onion, and cucumber. I know, it sounds weird, but its actually pretty nice.

Cucumber = raw pickle.

Which reminds me: I was over at my in-laws house discussing a creamy pickles & onions dish that's actually raw cucumber in vinegar, sour cream & some spices that then creams up in the fridge. Then this gem of a conversation happens:

Brother-in-law: "Did you know pickles are just cucumbers?"
Me: "Um. Yeah?"
BIL: "I didn't know that until I started looking at these recipes."
Me: "What did you think they were?"
BIL: "Something that grew on trees and were just naturally that salty."
Me the rest of the day: :freak:

Speaking of jalapenos and pickles - pickled jalapenos really grind my gears. Nothing more frustrating than ordering something with jalapenos and some pickled crap comes out. Don't get me wrong, I'll still eat them, but I won't be happy about it. Fresh or gtfo

meh... Don't love it but don't hate it either. If I was making my own burger I probably wouldn't add pickes, but I wouldn't take them off either if someone gave me a burger with them. I'm like pickle Switzerland. :idk:

I'll tell you what upsets me. It seems like all the fast food joints have new chicken sandwiches with pickles on them. What the hell is with that? Even though I'm not a fan, I can understand someone wanting pickles on a burger, but you have to be a sick fuckin baby raper to have pickles on a chicken sandwich.

It's a "southern" thing in the states. Chicken, mayo, pickle.

At least they haven't started putting cheese on chicken as a rule yet. That's some fuckin :freak: shit.

I will say nashville style chicken with the fatty hot sauce is pretty good with the right kind of pickle, but I'm not a fan outside of that.
