Hurricane Brewing

Post by IndyWS6 »

Be careful all of you Gulf Coast GGF folks. Looks like Ida just became a hurricane and they're expecting rapid intensification with a possible Cat 3 landfall late Sunday. Near high tide, no less. Seems like that area is barely above sea level to begin with, so things are going to be soggy at best. Stay safe...

Yeah, this fucking sucks. I work for an insurance agency too and the hurricane aftermath at work is always insane :(

Hoping we'll get lucky

Yeah, this is bad. Projected to be a Cat 3 by landfall.

I won't be surprised if it's close to a Cat5 when it makes landfall. The Gulf water is very warm. This is going to be bad.

Batten the hatches or GTFO. Personal opinion - GTFO makes the most sense...

I'm fascinated by weather (tornadoes, hurricanes, winter storms, etc.) but don't want to see anyone hurt or property damaged. Having said that, I would love to chase an F5 in Oklahoma and ride out a Cat 5 on the coast (in a bulletproof building, of course). Nature is awesome...
